Good Morning Mr Ratty Good morning all I've got the kettle on here and there is breakfast on the go.
So please pull up a chair and help yourselves.
I soon have to go and let our Chickens out but it's still very dark, so I can keep in the warm for a little bit longer I think.

WOT!…No burning logs! Oh well, it won't be for long, I've put all the Beasties in travel crates, Mrs PB and Mr PB are all snug over by the fire…err where the fire would be if we had one. Troll and Boggart are hanging on in the Bar with me, so no one gets left without any Alkeyhole. the automatic ordering system has been overridden so we have plenty to keep us going, the Banshee will bring it over for us when the move starts. UM…not sure we can get all Gunners Mistletoe here, but I''ll have a go, The Christmas Tree tells me it can make it's own way over thank you very much!
Best go make sure I got all the bonkers!

Well, I've put some sausage casserole and a veggie curry in slow cookers so they won't spoil while we're waiting to come across. There are fresh bread rolls and naans we can put in the toaster to warm, too.
Is this cafe/bar style new home indicative of the way Britain is changing? With all the pubs going down because of changing drinking habits, I suspect that pubs that survive will have to do double duty and be Continental style coffee-bars during the day, and drinkeries at night.
I should miss the traditional pub.

But GTM, here we're powered entirely by the solar wind wave tidal flows. No need for that dirty old wood technology here!

Ratty, I tried to edit previous post to get the smilie to work but got a message saying Oooops Permission Error - Only the author, inter alia, could edit. And the author was…. Oh yes…ME (insert confused emoticon)

I think it's because you're not logged on, Eco - your name has '(guest)' after it in brackets. I daren't prod Mr Ratty now as he's engrossed in a film… bound to be some adverts on soon though!

You need to use the "login" option at the top right Eco (or create an account if you don't have one). I was being lazy (or rushed depending on your point of view) earlier when I posted as a guest. I'm now logged in properly so I should be able to edit this posting, but as a guest you can post but not edit.

Jimll's probably right. Try creating an account then logging in. You may well still not be able to edit posts you made as a guest but you should be able to edit future posts.
PS Once you've created an account you could consider becoming a member of this site. There are no special perks at present but there may be in future! See the last entry in the left hand column entry if you are interested.
